Dear Mesa Water Ratepayers,

It’s a privilege to serve. Pure, plentiful, affordable water is fundamental to our quality of life and key to the economic development of our community. Maintaining our critical infrastructure is a big job, and over the last 4 years we’ve made a lot of progress.

My record highlights this work:

• AAA Credit Rating: Mesa Water began a $70 million capital improvement program to rebuild the distribution system for the next generation. Our AAA credit rating allows us to do this.

• Safe and Reliable: We have upgraded cyber security, fire hydrants and valves, reservoirs, built two new wells, replaced mainline pipes, which provide fire protection, and improved quality of life for our community.

• 30,000 Water Quality Tests: The system delivers over 5 billion gallons of water to 110,000 local residents and millions that travel through the service area, including John Wayne Airport. Water quality engineers complete more than 30,000 water quality tests per year to ensure our water is safe to drink.

• Local Control: We advocate for local control to ensure accountability, foster local relationships, and to ensure your dollars stay local. The US Bureau of Reclamation granted the District $250K to support local Water Supply Improvement Projects.
